Steven Ruby MD, FACS
Dr. Ruby graduated magma cum laude from Brandeis University and received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his general surgery residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and was the John Homan's Fellow in Vascular Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is the former program director of the Integrated Residency in General Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and is currently a Clinical Professor of Surgery. He is a member of and has held leadership positions in many local, regional, and national surgical societies such as the Society for Vascular Surgery and The American Venous Forum.
He is the Vice President of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Ruby is a board certified Vascular Surgeon and an attending surgeon at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He treats all aspects of vascular disease with a special interest in new minimally invasive techniques for varicose veins and other venous diseases. Dr. Ruby is the director of CONNECTICUT VEIN CARE and a founding member of Vascular Associates of Connecticut LLC.
